Ascendancy: From Ashes To Empire is a medium-heavy 4x tabletop turn-based strategy experience, for 1 – 6 players. It’s inspired by classic video games such as Final Fantasy, Heroes of Might & Magic, Magic The Gathering, and Fire Emblem.
Gameplay features JRPG side style combat, branching class evolutions, worker & hex tile placement, area control, card drafting, secret win conditions, color themes, set collection, push-your-luck based encounters, and crafting! (whew).
Aesthetically, the game features high fantasy illustrations, with a dramatic, cinematic feeling.
